Speakers from the whole food value chain at Non-GMO Summit

News

With the final agenda now confirmed, the Non-GMO Summit will feature high-level speakers from across the food value chain and with representatives from both Brazil and Europe.

Speaking on the various panel sessions will be representatives from companies in agriculture and cultivation, through to commodity traders and - at the other end of the food value chain - feed and food producers, as well as retailers.

Attendees at the Summit (Frankfurt, Germany, 9-10th May) – which is the first of its kind – will hear about the key issues facing the Non-GMO market directly from those experiencing them from field through to supermarket shelf. In the agriculture/cultivation sectors, Caramuru (from Brazil) and ATK (Ukraine) will feature on the “Producer and Processor Panel”, which will also bring the voice of commodity traders, such as ADM. The “Food Producers Panel” will give the floor to those experiencing first-hand the challenges of implementing Non-GMO production, like fish feed producer Skretting (based in Norway). Food producers like ARLA and PHW group bring their perspectives to that session. The journey down the food value chain is complete with the view from retailers, with major supermarket chains - Rewe, SPAR, Hofer (Aldi Süd), Kaufland – highlighting their challenges and priorities on the Retailers’ Forum.

The Non-GMO Summit, hosted by the main Non-GMO business associations, is going to be the place to be to discuss and be informed about the latest sustainability, Non-GMO and deforestation free topics. It will focus on strengthening and securing the Non-GMO Market and will be a powerful forum and exchange opportunity for all partners within the Non-GMO value chain.
