Recent years have seen a marked shift in consumer buying patterns when it comes to meat and dairy products, partly as a response to the climate crisis and environmental concerns in general, partly due to health concerns. The rise in plant-based foods is a relatively recent trend, which has seen a marked shift in consumers' buying patterns, partly driven as a response to the climate crisis and environmental concerns in general and also linked to healthy eating choices. We take a look at the market and the link with Non-GMO - with a recent survey showing that consumers buying such products place a big importance on them being Non-GMO, it’s clear that this is an important market for Non-GMO food producers.
