Recent years have seen a marked shift in consumer buying patterns when it comes to meat and dairy products, partly as a response to the climate crisis and environmental concerns in general, partly due to health concerns. Why plant-based foods are an important market for Non-GMO food producers and why reliable sustainable labels are decisive for consumer trust, we explore in our article The rise of sustainable diets and demand for plant-based foods.
We also take the opportunity to introduce our member Impetus Bioscience, a laboratory based in Bremen, Germany, with more than 25 years of experience on detection of genetically modified plants, analysing the whole spectrum from raw materials to highly processed products.

With the final agenda now confirmed, the Non-GMO Summit will feature high-level speakers from across the food value chain and with representatives from both Brazil and Europe. We take a look at the line-up for the programme.
The rise in plant-based foods is a relatively recent trend, which has seen a marked shift in consumers' buying patterns, partly driven as a response to the climate crisis and environmental concerns in general and also linked to healthy eating choices.
